The title of the book changed from Musafir Ki NAzmeiN to ‘Jo Tum Kaho’ based on its maiden poetry, which I had written for Shipra years ago.
मेरी आवाज़ की ख़राश सुन के उसने पूछा
कुछ टूटा तो नहीं
मैंने सीने पर हाथ रख के कहा, नहीं,
कुछ भी तो नहीं
हर नज़्म में रंज छलकता है
हर शेर में आँहें होती हैं
जाने क्यूँ दश्त ही चुनता हूँ
गुलों की भी राहें होतीं हैं
जैसे ज़हन में अच्छे से, ग़म घुला-घुला सा है
आँखों में अश्क़ नहीं लेकिन, धुआँ-धुआँ सा है
