Sabd bichar jaate hei jabh bhi saaz se
Ghazal ki masoomiyat se maut hoti he
Ashq bichar jaaye palkon ke daman se
Jazbaaton ki tabh aksar maut hoti hei
Galatfehmiyaan jabh badh jaye dilo me
Dararo mein tabh rishton ki maut hoti he
Umeedein jabh apna dam todne lagti he
Dil mein base khwabon ki maut hoti he
Issi tarah do dilo ka ek dusre se bicharna
Mere sanam, vo judaai ek maut hoti he
